My daughter and her boyfriend use my Flatline; I stopped using it long ago. I use a J&J ceramic on my other 98, which I carried for about 20 minutes during the last 26 hour game, and that was because I had a Qbeam in my other hand and couldn't pump my Phantom. ;-] You can't compare the two in terms of shot consistency (perceived accuracy). With practice, the effective ROF is comparable. The only time I feel out-gunned is against experienced players with Autocockers on the speedball court. But there's a learning curve. Snap-shooting with a pump is a skill that takes time, patience, and some welts to acquire. IMHO, it's worth the effort.
Flatline users are easily out-flanked and closed on; the range is not that much of an advantage.
If you can afford it, keep the M98 for backup; the resale value is low.
