I've had the 14" nickel barrel on my Phantom for around 3 years and it performs so well I've never felt the need to try anything else. I had a stock 11" barrel on it that performed equally as consistently, but the nickel barrel really seemed to turn my gun into a tack driver. It shoots almost every kind of paint well, but as always, be aware of paint fit as I have had a few embarrasing instances of unintentional dry-fire in the midst of a shoot-out.
