Well, there isn't much to timing. If it's not cocking properly, you have to adjust the 2 nuts on either side of the arm linking to the bolt. I can't remember which is which. I think if you make the arm shorter, it will cock easier. You might also have to adjust the pressure on the brass regulator on the opposite side. We found that the chameleon kit was hard on hammers, so have one or two extras around. I hope this helps.
