I've carried both, and the Sidekick Mod (pump) is more reliable.
The valve in the semi freezes in cold weather (under 70), or when rapid firing.
With the Mod, you have the option of using the spring loader, or a regular 10 rnd tube (prevents ball deformation in warm weather).

With either one, I recommend a COPS911 tactical leg holster. I had one custom made; closed, with ammo and CO2 pouches.
