I emailed Glenn Palmer about making me a vented brass barrel. He said that I would have to send in my gun to have it fitted, which is reasonable, considering he matches barrel length to the guns valve to ensure optimum performance. In reply to this email, I asked him how one of his barrels would enhance the performance of my gun, which currently runs a Smart Parts All-American. Since I cannot expect a totally honest responce from someone who is selling me something, I was wondering what kind of experience you all have had with palmer barrels of any kind (not just his products, I know they are all top of the line). Are they significantly more accurate, efficant, and quieter than other barrels? Thanks a lot!! See ya in my crosshairs!!
PS: Is their any advantage to using brass as opposed to aluminum as a barrel material? Does it require any special attention to prevent it from tarnishing? Thanks again!! |
