Internal: The washer idea is good. Never heard that one.

Muzzle signature: Use a heavily ported barrel, then wrap it LOOSELY with air conditioner filter material, four layers of paper towel around that, and thin-wall pipe or a shampoo bottle around that. Then seal it up. The filter material absorbs the sound, the outer shell will keep the sound in, and the paper toweling will reduce the rebound of this sound from the inside of the outer shell.

And the extreme measure: Get some hot water pipe insulation at your local hardware. Cover the entire outer body of the gun with this (cut to fit for grip, pump arms, feed, etc) from the back of the body to the back of your "barrel cover."

All of this together produces a funky looking gun, so you may want to dress it up with some camo or ghillie. However, what you will have is absolutely THE quietest paintball gun on the field. Anyone standing between you and a target forty feet away will hear and "swish" as the ball passes and a "THWACK!" when it hits the target. But that's all they'll hear.

Yeah, I'm old school. ;^)

: Hey guys i was just wondering how to make my phantom quieter. I have already silenced my hopper, but i need to know how to silence my internals. I'm thinking about buying a smart parts AA barrel after using one on a phantom befoer. Oh yeah, I'm not into the whole silencer thing either it just messes up accuracy.
: So if any of you know how to make a phantom quieter please tell me. Thanks,

: Tyler
