: I messed around with it stripped down. What is happening is this. When you pull the bolt back it allows a paintball to drop into place. if the gun is tilted foward then the paintball rolls to the start of the barrel and clears room for a second behind it. The paintball doesn't get all the way into the barrel, the paint is a good fit in the barrel. Just while it is in the chamber it rolls around. If I tilt the gun back while pumping it eliminates this problem, but I don't want to have to thing about that while getting bunkered. Also, if I already have a ball in the chamber and I pump it back again it loads a second ball, the first stays at the barrel and a second one drops in. I thought the Trracer had a anti-doublecock device. : Does anyone know where I could get a complete list of what parts are supposed to be in the gun and what isn't? : I do like the trracer, it's pretty dang accurate, and easy on the air, this is the only problem I'm having. Hmm...sounds like you have an old Trracer if it's got neither the ball detent spring nor the anti double-cock feature. The Trracer/Maverick has always had an enormous breech bore, something like .700, I think. When I had a Maverick, I first used a layer of packing tape (the really thin kind, not the "reinforced" kind), then used the nail polish trick. The tape worked, but I'd have to replace it every once in a while, so I switched to the nail polish. Never had a problem after that. -Wycke |
