: Does anyone know where I can find an SL-68 II barrel? Also, has anyone had any experience with the J&J Ceramic on the SL-68 II? Is the 14 inch better than the 12 inch? Palmer's Pursuit is the last place making SL barrels at this time. There will be a run of LAPCO Bigshots at some point in the near (I hope!) future. BOA was making them, but they've disappeared again from the 'Net. There are a bunch of old barrels floating around out there, sometimes under the name "68 Special barrels". The Special took the same barrel as the SL. Barrel length will be a personal preferance deal. If you like a little longer barrel, go ahead and get a 14". I like mine a little tighter, so I stay with 12" or even a 10" if I can find one. Haven't used a J&J Ceramic on my SL (I've got a really old Armson barrel on mine), but I use a Ceramic on my 98, with pretty decent results. Tippmann has, I've heard, discontinued the SL-68II. No word yet officially on whether or not there will be an SL-68III, but from someone who has a contact there, the story is "chances are slim to none". And since I've been off this board for a while, I'd like to thank everyone who noticed and read my article in APG! Personal updates are on my site, I won't clutter Bill's bandwidth with the details. :) Ben Kohnen, Limited Pump Paintball |
