Have you considered a Sniper of Autococker. The reason I say this is that you could switch between pump and semi whenever you want. Yes pump is effective against semi's, just look at Total Grief, all pump shooters playing tournements against electro's. Switching over to pump definetly improves your game and saves money/balls. And when you switch over to semi you'll keep all the accuracy of a pump. When I ran my cocker mechanical (now have a Race frame) I bought a Sniper pump kit from WGP and it worked fabulously when the mood struck to play pump. And HPA is definetly the way to go. Also have you considered running a pistol or pistols on remote? That way you wouldn't have to worry about changing 12 grams all the time. Hope it helps. Razor : Ok, im going to give this to you guys straight, so it will be a long post. But I need the best advice as to what gun I should buy at the end of this summer. : The first stage was me playing speedball and supair last weekend at a local field, prior to this I had only played woods and was a total accuracy nut (no that I am no longer one now). After playing I decided that by the end of this summer I would save up enough to get myself a new system, what ever that may be. : At first I was narrow minded and wanted a fast gun that I could sweetspot with and would have all the bells and wistles I could get for $2ish (give or take). The marker that I decided fit that price and preformance the best was the Spyder AMG LCD. It can dish out around 13 or so balls per second and looks nice too. Unforunatly I decided this may not be the best rout for me since I dont think I could ever afford the ammo to make that gun happy. I do not see myself spending $60 ever 2 days of play for paint...or more. Not to mention my playing style is mor guerrela, as I enjoy taking fewer shots if I can (though more can be fun too), in addition to moving fast and on my belly, crawling, and everything elce one would do to mess w/ the enemy and maximize efficency. : My next thought was getting a pistol w/ tactical holster and being able to jump roll, dive, crawl (super fast) and all the rest while being able to take my shots and having very little of me visable (no hpper etc). The draw back to this is the extensive dependency on 12g co2 cartrages. I finally decided that if I went this way I would go with a Zeus and a cops 911 holster and stuff, w/ maybe a quick cap for quick loading and no fumbleing with an expensive spare mag. : my last and final enfatuation has occured and is rooted around pump guns. I have gathered that they are rugged, can be accurate if you use the right paint, barrel, air, and are good. You can use a hopper, which is no big deal, and more importantly I could get a larger air source than on a pistol. It would force me to take better shots and so on and so fourth. The gun I have had my eye on is the Phantom, which looks like it has stood the test of time and could put some serious ass kicking into a game. Not to mention that paint would not go by as fast as w/ a semi. : I also by the end of this summer want to get hpa (if I dont get a pistol). So I had a few questions regarding those. I am looking at 3a-paintball tanks, they are cheep and was cerious if anyone knew how they compared to crossfires. : If I were to go with a Phantom do they run well w/ hpa? (the bottom line model). If so I could get a smaller one than a larger one like I would need for an AMG im guessing... right? Also can I get after market barrels for them (or would I even need them) would I need to find a spring kit for it, how does it hold up if well maintained (rugged) and so fourth. : Finally the game play I will mostly be using one of these setups for is speedball/supair and would a pump do well in them? (I have heard if you are good you can kick ass) So which setup would be the best? If you think it is pump which ***I am leaning for***, is a Phantom my best bet or would I need the Tippman or hammer etc? : I think I have touched everything I can, Thanks for the help and sorry about the LONG post.
