www.stockclasspaintball.com
www.paintballhero.com

some interesting sites - there are many more

some marker recommendations

best value marker - Phantom VSC. Stock class marker with bells and whistles thats reliable and value priced.

top end custom - Earon Carter Buzzard/Comp markers can be found at www.dyeprecision.com. Earon has been a top airsmith in the business since the late 80's.

mid range - WGP Sniper 2 2003 edition - solid pump marker but not stock class...

gunfighter type markers

PGP
Checkit Products Super Stock
Desert Duck
PT Extreme by 32degrees

Theres a world of variety out there that I havent mentioned directly...nelson based, sheridan based, spider based, etc etc etc but hopefully what I put down here will be a good place for you to start. For someone new to pump I highly recommend the Phantom as your first marker because it is light, reliable, and versatile. Of all the markers mentioned here the phantom is the only one that can be configured in the following methods easily, quickly, inexpensively.
1) Vertical Stock class w/45 gripframe
2) back bottle stock class
3) direct feed pump
4) bottom line pump

its been out there a long time and is tried and true - see either Mike Cassidy himself at CCI or perhaps Haans at siegecraft. Im sure there are many other reputable vendors.

The Carter marker be it Buzzard or Comp is a custom made top end marker. Its generally heavier (due to stainless steel parts) and is reknowned for its smooth as glass function and long term durability. Im a bit biased because Ive played with a Carter marker for many many years and have seen it evolve from hand made and fitted parts to custom assembled CNC precisioned art.

anyhow, hope you find what you are looking for and have fun out there.
