Hmmm, just an idea here for you, maybe to simulate a musket paintball gun isn't all that hard.

Lets say we base it on a nelson style pump, with an under barrel pump arm. Remove the pump handle, cut down the pump arm, and affix a tube under the barrel as sort of a ramrod "guide."

Then we leave the feed tube similar to stock, use the "ramrod" to pump the gun (necessary since the pump handle is removed and the pump rod is now inaccessible) and feed the paintballs by hand.

the rest is all asthetics, and can be mounted with just about any kind of stock and fittings you want, and of course a 12 gram air source can be concealed in the stock.
