: What do you think is better for a phantom? The nickle plated only goes up to 14 in while the dye goes up to 18in. What do you think is quieter? Which do you think is more accurate? I like longer barrels so do you think i should get the 18in dye?

I have been playing with my Phantom for a few years now and I have played with the stock 11 inch and 14 inch Phantom barrels as well as the 14” Dye Boomstick. As far as accuracy, they are remarkably well matched. There is not much difference between the stock or nickel plated barrels or the Dye (Dye seems to be just a little flatter trajectory at LONG range than the stock in my opinion) and at the ranges most people play (and I am an advocate of aggressive close up pump play) you will almost never notice a difference, but the one area that is a big improvement is how quiet the Dye is. The Dye significantly quiets your shots.
