: What is the dreaded angel board glitch?

It's a range of problems. Sometimes it goes into safe mode and stays there. Sometimes it resets the serial#. It's many different symptoms that all point to the board (i.e. the programming is not working correct).

It only happens (AFAIK) to LCDs with the old NiCad battery and plastic key switch (2000s) - Change it to the new NiMH battery and on/off switch and it goes away.
