The overpressure relief valve is there to prevent the output side pressure going too high. Start by backing out the adjuster screw all the way, then filling the tank. If it still leaks out then, you may have a damaged reg seat. Check out: http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/regulators/air/index.shtml See you on the field, : I just got my first Angel (2k1 Dye Ironman with AIR) I bought it used (less than 10k on the counter) and when I went to air the tank today every time the tank psi got above 1300psi the little over pressure valve on the side would let loose and it would not stop until it got down to about 900 psi. I read the manual and tried to adjust the out put psi it would not move no matter how far I back the regulator set screw out. Am I doing something wrong or am I just missing something. The guy I bought it from said it worked fine the last weekend he used it. He also said if I could not figure it out to send it back and he would have his tech look at it. I would like to avoid that if it is something that I am not doing right.
for a complete maintenance guide.
