I had the same problem initially with my IR3. They swapped out the board and the battery and it works great. One thing that you want to be sure of, is to get your service done by ceritified WDP techs. I'm lucky because I have one of the best WDP guys here, and he swapped my board and battery out with no questions while we were at Millenium Max Masters. A good investment is a wall adapter ($10-$20). 12v DC, 1000mA max with negative polarity at the tip that goes into the Angel. That way you don't have to screw with leaving it in the car, etc.

: thanks for the info blick. this is my third angel but the first time i've ever had this happen. frazer from wdp emailed me and said to have the car running while i charged, so i'll see if this works. i doubt it since my car and battery are both new.

: : bottom line is, is that your gonna need a new board. this is why im selling my 2000 lcd, i got it in 2000 sept, the thing never worked cause of the that charge problem, i had it hooked up and looked at by angel techs and they told me nothins wrong with the board in 2 different states. emailed WDP, they tell my that the wall charger may be the problem, sumbody tells me to get a new battery, maybe its my intellifeed. so eventually WDP ships a shop a board for me and its fixed(2 years later). im sour on angels. yet thats why im in this forum. i feel your pain, 3 seperate days were ruined on teh feild cause of the missleading battery readout
