You've got bad info. The lock is there in compliance with new and pending ASTM standards and WDP WILL NOT release a way to unlock the boards until such time as the ASTM says it's ok to do so. The Palm pilot program will simply allow you to access the internal menu's that you now have to remove the left grip cheek to access. You will be able to change things like ROF, Dwell, etc... That's all.
