: Could someone please enlighten me on the subject of range. In my mind if two markers are shooting at the same velocity, with same paint and same barrel, then range should be equal. Is this true or not? My son seems to think that the cockers generally have better range than an Angel. A ball that leaves a barrel at 300fps doesn't care how it got to that speed. Two balls that weigh the same and are traveling 300fps will go the same distance, unless one has spin. That is simple physics. As Carl Sagan said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof".
