Nope, the Speed is definitely more advanced in terms of the gun, than the IR3. The pneumatics and valving are laid out differently (the exhaust valve can now be serviced without removing the LPR - a big plus for speed of maintenance at tournaments) and the whole thing operates at a lower pressure. The new COPs system in the Speed is also much more advanced than that of the IR3. What is lacking are the extra bells and whistles software wise of the IR3 - the LCD display, timer, etc.
