Finally got my springs. (112 lbs load @.012 deflection- Mcmaster-Carr 9712K68)
I used 8 instead of 7 and it's still .020" shorter. I should have checked the pressure change per turn before the switch (whoops). I'm now getting roughly 100 PSI change per full turn according to the POS guage on the gun. (reads about 400 without gas, but seems to go up from there appropriately....). It'll be friday or saturday before I'll get home early enough to have enough light to chrono. That will tell me how well it really works. So far so good.... Unfortunately the only paint I have is getting old and was decent, not great paint to begin with.... well if 1/4 turn still goes from 90 FPS to 280...
