the firing on the release is the problem. If you just pull the cocking rod, does it catch on the sear? (stay cocked) If so, The timing rod is out. It is switching forward too soon. lengthen the timing rod a bit.

: : I finally got it so when I pull the trigger it atleast sometimes makes a noise like its firing, but the paint just gets lodged in the barrel. Also, I was wondering if its supposed to only fire when I release the trigger.
