95% of the time a Thermal is adequate. They have a way of seperating and getting water/paint inbetween the lenses in about a year. Next install, I am going to seal the outside of the foam lense seperators with silicone and let it cure before I install.

It has never fogged during the day. Even in the dead of winter but I have had 2 times it would still fog. But that was with a mask I had sweated in all day long and the foam was still wet. It was a night game where it cooled off and the humidity went to near 100% and started to get foggy and settle dew. I switched to a different (dry) mask with a thermal and did OK for a couple of ours and then it still started fogging from my perspriation. Ditto every one else.

Thermals come with a anti fog coating on the inside. It is important to clean it with water only. Nothing with a solvent. Including soap.

I don't know if the anti fog sprays will affect the anti fog liner or not.
