Well, lets see if we can get lucky and not spend any money.

You have a brand new reg. Often they are NOT lubed at the factory. Put two drops of 3 in 1 oil in you bottom line air hole, remove the barrel (unless you like to clean oil out of it), gas it up and dry fire it 20-30 times. Then see if the velocity settles down.

Ditto the paint quality comment. 5 fps shot to shot is very good and only occurs with Marbs, Allstar, Diablo Inferno and other simular premium ROUND paints. Field paint is 10-15 fps shot to shot on a good day. While you have your barrel out, stick a ball of your favorite paint in it with the seam touching the sides of the barrel. Hold it up to the light and look for gaps. Then take the same ball out and turn it 90 degrees with the seem running front to back. Look again. Now wouldn't that affect your velocity depending on how the seam dropped into the chamber? Buy the good paint. It shoots where you point is AND at the same velocity. Who needs rate of fire to compensate for lousy accuracy if you can tag the guy with your first 5 rounds? You CAN afford it cause you shoot less paint per tag. Not to mention your fun factor goes way up along with your kill ratio for the day.

Polish the hammer and bolt with car finnishing polishing compound. Do NOT attempt to polish the aluminum body internally. The steel hammer will do that for you. Just remove the hammer. Reinsert the cocking rod and chuck it in a drill. 3 minutes later you should be able to see yourself reflect on the hammer. Clean, lube, reassemble. If you don't have a way to chuck the bolt, e mail me. I have a low tech procedure that gets the job done. Have a file all set up to send to you how to do it.

Keep it CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN for consistent velocities. Dirt is the source of all evil!
