Sticking is NOT usually timing....

Were you trying the classical ball point pen spring will give you a lighter trigger pull?

That free and cheap 'upgrade'? It often doesn't work because like the man said, it can be too weak.

Not to say a good cleaning wouldn't allow that light spring to do the job properly.
