The goal is NOT shot efficiency.

The goal is lowest operating pressure to reduce noise generation...

Why won't a LP valve and spring set permit operating pressures below 300 psi in any spring configuration....?

: Did you try using a medium valve spring and a light hammer spring and then sweetspotting your reg? Or, other combinations where the hammer spring is always lighter than the valve spring and then sweetspotting the reg.
