Low Pressure vs. High Pressure? Free Flow?

Can anyone explain and describe the differences between a LP setup vs. a HPA setup? Why would an individual choose one over the other? All I can think of off the top of my head is the volume generated by the marker when being fired and gas efficiency.

Can someone explain what exactly the term "free flow" means when attributed to a cocker? What does this do to a marker? I read one article that said this modification will "pinch" a ball if loaded incorrectly into the chamber, rather than pulverizing it, creating a mess. Is that all it does? Why else would a person want it?

I am thirsting for information! I am reading as much as I can, but want more!
