: Over the last year the company has changed hands.

: I and several other players have noticed that Inferno gives us barrel breaks that never occured before.

: Twasn't the cold weather or old paint either.

Most paint companies tweak their formulations over time.

Blaze, Inferno, Hellfire and Midnight are still made by the same company, it didn't change hands, they are made by Procaps of Canada. What changed was that Diablo direct, the distributor that bought the paint from Procaps, warehoused it, and shipped it to dealers, was bought by National Paintball Supply.
