The cocking rod is just a threaded piece that screws into the back of the gun, stopping the back block. Once you take that out, adjusting the velocity is about the same as on your m98. : OK,,,maybe a dumb q, but having never done it or seen it done, and without the cocker in front of me, how dificult is removal of the cocking rod? : i ask because ill be playing a scenario in june, with day andnight chrono'ing. im wondering if i will want to play with my tippman chrono'd for night and the cocker at the day FPS limit. or if it really is simple.... : thanks! : : : Although there are other decent places to go, I like www.paintballravi.com. Read the autococker infosheet for a very good outline of how the cocker works and how to take care of it, including setting one up from scratch. Truthfully, once it's set up, it doesn't require much. Velocity can be changed with a 3/16" hex wrench. Remove the cocking rod from the rear of the marker, and you'll see the hole for the wrench. Clockwise is up, and counterclockwise is down.
