: Never heard that one before. They don't locktite them. The problem is they get LOOSE and creep on you. The Players wind up Loctiting them... Use BLUE if you do.

: I can't even imagine getting one cross threaded after removal but your note suggests that this is your first attempt.

: Maybe this is the answer, A little finnesse.

: The bolt has to be removed of course. Then the right size allen wrench inserted. If it is too big or too small it just rotates on top of the lug or inside the allen lug hole.

: Now the finnesse part. CLOSE your eyes and concentrate on what it FEELS like to do this.

: The problem my be that the #@%$& hole doesn't line up with the sear lug. So your right size allen wrench spins on top of the hammer.

: The hammer cannot be cocked and when fired is resting against the valve body stem in the hammer forward position.

: Just pull the cocking rod out ever so little while lightly rotating the Allen wrench.

: You should feel the allen wrench drop into the HOLE in the hammer where the lug is recessed slightly in it. That means you are getting real CLOSE! A little more jockying of the hammer/cocking rod back and forth while rotating the allen wrench and you should FEEL it drop into the sear lug hole.

: If that doesn't work try the SAME procedure but with Pushing the cocking rod FORWARD towards the hammer.

: Where the hammer / sear lug is located relative to the timing hole you put your wrench in is due to the strength of the valve return and hammer spring pressure at resting. Rarely lines up perfectly.

: Let us know what the solution was so we can pass that info on to others here at Warpig.
