They help you not have as much shoot down when in rapid fire (spray and pray) situations. It is basically like extending the air chamber. Some people use it on high flow cockers to lower the PSI. I have heard of PSIs going as low as 150 PSI, but really anything below the 180 range and a cocker usually becomes a gas hog. Efficeincy is by far the way you should go. I have mine so that I can shoot over 2000 rounds on an 88ci 4500 stubby and I am running at 180 psi. Look through the forum, there is a website by a guy named (I think) Ravi or something simular. That guy really knows cockers. Also check out some posts from Mike Roch and Dave Headhunter they are in the saem category as him. Really sharp guys.


: There are no hoses going into it so it must be a "power chamber." What is the function of such a chamber? Thanks!
