Dye. Period. Yes it can be a pain in the arse, every cocker owner that twiddles with his gun at the field, is trying to squeeze every last bit out of it. If it is timed conservatively they are rock solid. They will run alot longer on a given amount of air than a shocker or impy. Lastly, and most importantly is a personal matter.... It is not Smart parts. I refuse to do any business with those patent lawyers. Also the solenoid in the impies are a custom part, no off the shelf alternatives are available. SP wants about $200 for a replacement last I saw, and it seems to be a rather high failure rate item. : I can't seem to decide to make up my mind between the Dye Reflex Autococker or the Smart Parts Impulse with Vision. I plan to play in a lot of turneys and I have been playing the sport for aboutfive years and i think i have a good understanding of the markers. Here's what I am thinking: The Dye Reflex autococker is smaller and it is not electric, while the Impulse is much much bigger and is electric (im not a fan of the electric factor). I understand that both are good markers but I hear that that autocockers are not really reliable and require a lot of maitnence. : So my question is, is the Autococker worth the extra $50.00, or would you recommend the Impulse?
