: I just got my new cocker its a summer edition and when i fire it with no gas the back block only comes part of the way in it stops at about 1/2inch away from the body. Is this normal?? and if not ne fixes for it?

Well if the hammer was cocked, the bolt and back block should be all the way forward when in firing position. It should not move when dry fired NOT gassed up.

If it is NOT GASSED up and you cocked the marker by pulling the back block back manually and didn't manually return it forward into the bolt closed position after you cocked it, I would travel forward with the cocking rod about halfway and then stop when the cocking rod stopped.

That would be 'normal'.

It works better with the front pneumatics gassed up....
