Very good points. Since I started using refs-in-play heavily, wiping has dropped drasticly at my games. Word gets around after a few players get busted by the guy they have been playing beside for half the day and they never knew he had the authority. i think there are two kinds of wipers, the kind who will always wipe and eventualy get weeded out, and the kind that will only wipe when he thinks it is safe to do so. I just try to keep the latter from ever thinking he is safe.
