: Hey I am wondering what you guys think. I got a smart parts max flow system on my gun with a 68cu 3000psi tank. It's been sitting in my room for oh, around 3 years since I haven't been able to afford to play. : As far as I remember, the tank is still full. I'm not positive because the valve is off I can't check any gauges to make sure. I remember filling it up before I came home last but I don't remember ever empying it. What the heck do I do with this? : It took quite a bit of force to move the bolt of the gun so I'm pretty sure all the seals are falling apart. It's been sitting there without use for 3 years after all. I COULD turn on the valve to the tank but that will (possibly) send 3000psi into the maxflo, which I assume also has bad seals and stuff by now. What would happen if the seals were bad and I opened the valve? : Would it just vent out of all the broken seals? Maybe a burst disk or something would blow? Or maybe something would break and explode? A long time ago I coulda told you what happened but I've been out of paintball for so long I don't even remember how this stuff works anymore. : Ideally I'd like to take it to a hydrostatic testing place and see if they can more safely open the valve. I'm having trouble finding a place near me in Illinois though. : What do you guys think? Should I just stick on some safety goggles and open the tank or maybe somebody knows a hydrostatic testing area near Chicago or maybe you have other suggestions? I'm not really sure what to do with this.
