Sorry about the blank message, hit the wrong button.

I'd suggest calling around to scuba shops in your area and talking to them about the situation. If the tank has an on-off valve, you could conceivably take it off the gun, and then they may be able to put in a protective chamber to open the valve and empty the tank.

Mental note to self: empty tanks and lube all markers profusely before storing for a long period of time. ;-)
