Perfomance between the two should be very similar. The thing that will have the greatest impact on distance/accuracy is your pain to barrel match. The BKO with a good barrel will do very well compared to a cocker.

The biggest factor you should consider is what you want to do 'down the road'. With the cocker there's lots to tinker with and endless upgrades. If that appeals to you, go with the cocker.
If you just want to show up and play, the BKO is a better choice. With the BKO the upgrades are more limited and tinkering with the BKO is very different than the cocker. Unless you're very comfortable with wires you'll probly want to just leave it alone.
