: If i purcahse a J&J ceramic barrel wont it break easily since it is ceramic?

J&J "ceramic" barrels are not ceramic. They are aluminum which gives them their lightweight. When they are anodized, a ceramic material, and Teflon(tm) are included along with the dye that gives the anodizing its color. The result is a very strong and slick surface that is actually stronger (in terms of scratch resistance) than the aluminum underneath it.

See you on the field,
-Bill Mills

Teflon is a registered trademark of the DuPont corporation who has threatened legal action against both me any my sponsors if I don't tell you that any time I mention it's name.
