: See, bottom SNIPER post to get the beggining part. Either I or the computer goofed while I was typing and it ended up being entered into the forum before I was done.

Hey guys, there are two types of snipers in this world. Tactical (one that operates in spaces where there isn't much room to roam, like in a city or building space) and long distance (one who can hit you from a mile away). I have seen both in the paintball world. The tactical one is the guy with a talon that can suddenly somehow end up ten feet from your position (as you're looking to kapp him with your nice tippman, spider, piranah, or any nicer gun than a brass eagle talon) and either S.O.D. you or just plain out shoot you in the back. He is a true tactician and will stop to take time to plot on you. He is not the guy who rubs it in (in fact I admire him for shooting me), like the long distance sniper. The long distance sniper may not be shooting you a mile away, but he is shooting a lot farther than the other players on the field. How you might ask is he doing this, is it that long barrell? No, it is the fact that after they cronographed the little punk simply stuck an allen wrench in his pocket and turned his pressure up when no one was looking. He can not handle close quarter battle like a tactical sniper can, and usually gets shot up when he retreats. Now when you see both of these snipers and ask them what position they play the tactical will usually tell you "I don't know I just play PAINtball." The long range sniper gladly tells you he is a sniper.

Sniper is a term to hide behind, and long range shots with a paintball gun don't work as well as a well aimed shot at a target that is in range.
