Just got snipped last weekend actually. Had a 4 on 3 in the woods and I was on the 3 side. The opposing team seperated into a 3 pack to hunt for us and a human speed bump near their flag. We moved on their flag under brush coverage. As we got close, I heard a pop. In the time it took for the ball to leave his barrel and make it to my arm, I had spotted the sniper, aimed, and was starting my trigger pull. She was only about 20-25 feet away. And we were moving slow enough that it took us about 2 minutes to move from 35 yards to 25 feet from him. I'm sure all 3 of us looked straight at her several times, and I was looking straight through her when she shot and didn't know they were there. She had Tiger Stripe cammo and an olive facemask on, but nothing on the gun and none of the gillie stuff. She was just a smart sniper. She new I wouldn't walk along the path, but moving along the tape was to obvious. So she moved to a spot close to where she would want to go and setup in firing possition. Then even when she was looked at, she never moved till she fired. She got me, and my cover person before she herself was hit. Pretty effective sniper speed bump if you ask me. --------------------------- The tactical one is the guy with a talon that can suddenly somehow end up ten feet from your position (as you're looking to kapp him with your nice tippman, spider, piranah, or any nicer gun than a brass eagle talon) and either S.O.D. you or just plain out shoot you in the back. He is a true tactician and will stop to take time to plot on you. |
