The freak kit uses sleeves that, if you drop, they will break. Plus the freak is made by smart parts (don't even get me started on that)
J&J makes the edge kit, that comes with 4 different sized solid backs. And you can pick your color and size for the tip, you can even get a ceramic tip if you want.
