The only way your going to "break" a freak insert is by abuse, I've dropped mine before and they don't break, bend, scratch, mis-align, shatter, disintegrate, implode or any other horrible thing that people claim that they do. The inserts are anodized aluminum, not painted ceramic or glass. I've had mine for over 2 years and have never had a single problem with it in any way. I have no doubt that the numerous copies of the Freak work, they are copies. With a Freak you get 8 inserts, the greatest range of any kit. If you ever change guns in the future you pay about $60 for a single new back end. With all the other kits (Sceptor exluded) you will have to buy a whole new set of backs each time. And you can choose a length, color, and Freak or All American tip as well. There's a reason Smart Parts barrels are being copied. Hope it helps.

: The freak kit uses sleeves that, if you drop, they will break. Plus the freak is made by smart parts (don't even get me started on that)

: J&J makes the edge kit, that comes with 4 different sized solid backs. And you can pick your color and size for the tip, you can even get a ceramic tip if you want.

: Definitely something you should check out
