Add up what all the items and upgrades cost to buy NEW.

It is worth 50% to 60% of the NEW cost in good working order and not all dinged up.

I am a fan of the remote. It takes a LOT of weight off the marker. Makes it quicker to point and shoot. Less profile to take a hit from an opponent.

THE HUGE advantage is you can run with it ONE HANDED if you have your hopper clamped down securely. Go like a tight end jumping over stuff and dodging balls.

Players using a tank ususally holds the marker like a rifle with both hands when they are running. Really slows them down...

I like that........ Easier to hit.

The DOWNSIDE for a remote is the springiness of the hose. If you need to shoot off your non dominate side or over the top of something, you will be fighting the hose tension and your shots will be off target.

The result is YOU then tend NOT to shoot off your non dominate side. So you don't look and defend your non dominate side. You develop a BAD Habit that your opponents can take advantage of.

When I see an opponent with a remote, I am looking for a way to approach him from his off side....

But know that you KNOW that, you don't have to develop that bad habit.

The smaller you are from back to front and the shorter your arm reach, the easier it is to use the standard remote length. If you have a 40 inch waist and wear a 36" sleeve, you might want to NOT use a remote without an extention. Since I fit into that later category I picked up another hose and put them together with a union.

Tied up the extra length and the hose comes out between the top two buttons on my BDU top. I can go left or right with ease and don't worry about hanging it on stuff when crawling around.
