Tommy Gun vs rifle feel
45 grip frame (& rubber grips) on M98
M98 is heavier (usually has larger and heavier tank and hopper, too)
M98 has many more barrel options, including the Freak
M98 is upgradable beyond all reason
M98 has more parts, making it (ever so slightly) less reliable
M98 is easier to clean in the field (squeegie) after chopping a ball. If you use the SL68 auto-trigger, you will chop a ball eventually.
M98 has Weaver and Dovetail sight rails; SL68 only has 3/8 Dovetail
M98 has a clamshell frame design
I don't have statistics, but I believe the SL68 to be more gas efficient since it doesn't need to recock

The SL68-II forces me to play better, so I have a much higher kill-ratio with it than my M98s. I now use a Phantom, which shoots better than either one. ;-]
