the early firing does sound like hammer/sear wear to me. Your safety could also be messed up. have you tried taking it out and looking at it? I'm not sure of your year, bbut mine has a little set screw. Do you really ues your safety any way? Just clear your barrel before you leave the field and it's not needed. as long as it still cocks reilably and shoots reilably, you should be fine. About the gritty pumpstroke. I had that for a long time and couldnt figure out what to do. I just recently (after getting back from vegas) I bought a crest spin brush (like $2 with a coupon) and I scrubed the inside of the body with some rubbing alcohol. I don't have any kind of a rough grind there like I used to. I also took a very very warn barrel hone and ran it inside of the pump. That smoothed that out really well too. The spin brush is great for scrubbing almost anything too. Best cleaning purchace ever! Hope I could be atleast a little helpful ... -Micah : Hi Guys,
