Thanks for the advice, you were dead on about the cleaning with alchohol. I flushed everything and scrubbed it down and my pump stroke is much better. Now if I could just figure out this shooting through the safety thing. I tried tweaking the set screw on the safety, but that doesn't appear to be it. The safety engages fully and strongly both ways. That narrows it to the sear or hammer. Both show wear, but the edges still "appear" sharp. May be worth replacing though. I'll call Mike tomorrow. Thanks again for the advice,
