One big problem with pumps is shot-to-shot accuracy. Why? Because with a pump you are jerking the pump handle back and forth with one arm that tends to torque the guns aim, even on slow aimed shots. So IMHO it takes even more skill to be good with a pump than a good semi. And recoil is a lot heavier when the moving mass is the bolt, pump, and 5lbs of arm. The moving mass of the Angel bolt is probably 1oz max (small, light bolt). I love using my Sterling for the reason that it is a handicap and it cuts down my paint usage, but it's night and day when I pull out my Angel LED. Tom : i think there's an issue of recoil too. i think alot of semi's specially one's with a heavy striker like the m98 then to be less accurate do to all the weight flailing around. pump's have fewer parts that are moving when you pull the trigger. this is a hard thing to test you would need a spring loaded or suspended vice. : but then there's also the supject of suppresive and cover fire and other questionable shots. semi's get an accuracy advantage in this regard. when fireing through thick brush and grass a semi will put a sting of balls in a tighter group than a pump will(especially if you use auto trigger). : so sustained firing = semi more accurate
