Good semi pistol?

 I'm looking to buy a semiautomatic pistol as a backup to my Phantom for use in CQB. I've heard many negative remarks about the PT Enforcer, but I'm a broke as a joke college student. So are there any other reasonably priced pistols out there that are worth a darn. If not, how much money does it take to get a decent semi pistol?
