Your IR3 will work with a preset regulater. I someone who uses one on her 2002 fly. 600 psi is the recomended input because you will be using around 300 psi from the vertical reg. You generaly want to double the input into the vert reg. 300psi x 2 = 600psi. However, your marker MAY be less prone to shoot down or wear and tear at an input of 600psi. : As I eagerly await the arrival of my IR3 (brand new, only $1200 : D ), I started wondering if my Pure Energy preset tank (850 psi) would be ok to use on it. : I was checking out the owners manual online and it said a maximum 600psi output from the tank. I know that LCDs have no problem with 850 psi going into the minireg so I cant imagine why it wouldnt be ok for an IR3. Its the same reg as an LCD, so why wouldnt it do the same job on an IR3? : BTW, I know that "only $1200" is still a lot of money....a painful amount of money.
