: A buddy on my team will sell me his 2k Stock Angel with Dye bolt and a few other extras on it I can't remember off the top of my head. It has about 12k cycles on this board (3k are mine from saturday)so I think it's a new board. For like $550

That sounds like a pretty good deal. One of the scary things about buying used, is knowing the quality - if you've already been using it, you've got that knocked down.

: I could buy a new 2k2 Stock Angel for $900ish.

Yep, and for a couple hundred more, an IR3. Have you tried shooting one yet? I've had a number of Angel users try mine and notice that they were able to shoot faster with the different trigger and grip layout.

: I could buy a new matrix for $600ish but I dont think I'll get the needed shots per fill off of my 68/4500 and I don't really want to buy a new tank ...

What are your needed shots per fill? The performance on the new Matrix paintguns is MUCH better, because they've gone to a more efficient bolt, and they close the spool valve sooner (the original model held it open, still venting gas after tha ball had already left the barrel).

:but when this tank gets closer to date I might buy a nitroduck 90ci bottle with a 5yr test period ... I'll need that much air for 10man nppl anyway ...

: I could buy an electro kit for my cocker, since I can't yet shoot an angel over 12bps anyway ... and the E-Blade rips ... This would probably be the most economical route. But Angels are just so sexy ...

: I could save my money and buy something newer and flashier ... but I dont feel I can justify spending more than 1k on a single piece of kit ...

Ack! Becoming a writer for Paintball Games International, is infecting your vocabulary! Since when do we, blue blooded yankee doodle dandies have "kit"?!?!

OK - I admit the spelling dictionary on my e-mail program is British, and it's got me typing aluminium, and the coulour grey :-)

: As for Barrels, if I get an angel I was going to get one of the CP sets (JT, Dark, or CP, maybe mix and match) if I stay with the cocker I'm planning on getting a freak set that way I can change out the back section later if needed.

The CP kits are great. I do see a big plus to the Freak if you own a few paintguns in that you can just pick up a new back for the other paintgun and still use all the inserts, not just the tips.

: Any advice would be much appreciated.

Well there's my two cents.

: thanks,

: -Micah

See you on the field,
-Bill
