: I agree... The cops should NOT be effected at all. Its a great system, BUT you don't need it. Halo is the way to go for a hopper. The problem you are having is VERY simple! IR3's don't break much, so I'm assuming it ain't broke. If your breaking paint its the following:
1) marshmallowTY PAINT!!!!!!!
2) Barrel not matching paint
3) Dwell set too high for the paint type
4) Hammer gumed up with paint so its not functioning properly AND OR bolt not running smoothly due to breach not alligned properly.
BAD PAINT +ANGEL = CHOP CITY I can never get my LCD to run anything worse then Big Ball! Its just not workin'! Depending on where you live, take it to an AUTHORIZED ANGEL REPAIR shop, not the local 7/11 for paintball. Have a tech throw some paint through it. If its not working properly, a good tech can tell by listening to it fire. So not to worry, help is on the way! Drop me an e-mail if your still having problems... tye1138@mac.com

: You do NOT have to use the cops, it's an optional feature. And just for the record, the cops is NOT affected by marker noise or vibration. Alot of Infrared anti chop sensors are, but the cops is not. That's why WDP developed it, it is the most reliable anti chop device available. And the HALO has a faster, more consistent feed rate, and in almost every aspect, outperforms the Evo II, so don't replace that either. When you say the marker is "getting blowback" you mean blowback into the feed neck? That could be a dwell setting problem, bolt problem, or valve problem. If there were more details it would be alot easier to diagnose. Why don't you have your brother send it to WDP and have 'em take a look at it.

:
: : Use the cops and pack it in silicon grease to make certain it does not since marker noise in adition to the ball droping and hitting the cops. Also chedk the dwell setting and if he is using a halo replace it with an Evo 2...etc...good luck

: : : I know it's not much to go on, but my brother's
: : : Angel has been acting up as of late. All he told me was that it's been chopping paint and he's been getting blowback. It's an IR3 Fly and it's still completely stock. I don't really know much about them so I thought I drop a post to see if it was just some simple fix. I know he doesn't use his COPS cuz he says it's too sensitive. Thanks
