Check to make sure the cocking rod is not loose! This has happened to me. If the cocking rod gets loose and backs out, it will give you exactly the symptoms you described. When it happened to me I adjusted my sear lug, my 3 way, and my front reg pressure before I discovered the real (simple) problem. By the way, a good habit to get into is to regularly check that it is screwed in :) Hope this helps.
